The Vista Verde Golf Course in Sao Paulo
Those who venture onto the fairways of VistaVerde Golf Course find themselves surrounded by nature. The name of the golf club self-explains because “Vista Verde” means “green view“. The golf club is set within a 173-acre area amongst valleys and hills passing through native forests in Aracariguama a city in Sao Paulo State. Especially since it is only a 30-minute drive from the capital Sao Paulo.
The Vista Verde Golf Course
The American architect Dan Blankenship combines in the Vista Verde Golf Course project a layout which is enjoyable to amateurs and quite challenging for professional golfers at the same time. Therefore the 7021 yards are filled with obstacles. Blankenship creates holes that demand from the golfer not only precise shots but also good decisions and strategies for the play. There are four different tee boxes, each one suiting the varying skills of visiting golfers. The greens at Vista Verde are of Bermuda Tifeagle grass, allowing a cut of three millimetres resulting in fast greens which require precision putting. The golden back tees are only for a long hitter. If your ball is on the wrong level or sides you can be happy with one chip and two putts. Special on the green 2 you really must take care that your ball is not rolling back 50 yards away from the green. The hole 15 is the longest Par 5 in Brazil. But on the other hand, you have two par 5 which are reachable with 2 strokes, even for players with a higher handicap. Enjoy it and do not worry about a 3-putt. For this golf course, you need a good condition. Therefore we would recommend you to take a golf car. Even more, a caddy can help you very well to play your correct handicap. Many holes are blind and very often you have to play across a cliff. Especially for golf players with a higher handicap, it is much more relaxing to play from the white tees. If you play carry easy 150 yards then you can try from the blue tees. The golden back tees are only for a long hitter. Ask also at the reception or your caddy about the pin position. All the greens are very big and some of them have multiple stages.
