Aruja Golf Club in the state Sao Paulo
Designed and built for the Japanese community that lives in the state Sao Paulo. The Aruja Golf Club is one of the most traditional clubs in the Sao Paulo region. The layout of the course, varying between relatively flat holes and others with extreme elevation changes holes, demands an array of golfing skills. It is no coincidence that Aruja is home to several top Brazilian professional golfers, like Acacio Jorge Pedro. He was leading in the PGA do Brazil ranking for several years.
The course has been the venue of major tournaments, such as LG/Vivo PGA Championship, one of the main professional golf competitions in Brazil. Aruja Open competition is quite traditional as well since it also includes competition among professionals.
