Bastos Golf Club in the state Sao Paulo

The Bastos Golf club is located in the state of Sao Paulo. Currently famous as Egg-Land, Bastos is the town with the largest production of eggs in Brazil. As a result of over one hundred chicken farms and one hundred million chickens. The town was founded in order to accommodate many of the Japanese immigrants who came to work in agriculture. Bastos Golf Course is set within a region of rich flora and fauna and blessed with warm weather.

The Golf Course of the Bastos Golf Club

The strong presence of the Japanese community in the town led to the construction of the golf course of the Bastos Golf Club. The golf course was opened in 1971 initially with 9 holes and soon expanded to the present 18 holes. Here, golf features as one of the favorite sports, admired by the Japanese and their descendants, along with baseball and judo.
This is the training golf course of Ronaldo Francisco, the leader in the Associacao Brasileira dos Profissionais de Golfe ranking in 2007. Francisco is also the instructor of most of the 480 members of the club.
