Course and facilities at Clube de Campo de São Paulo
The course and facilities at Clube de Campo de São Paulo sit on 1,200,000 square meters of land, of which 200,000 square meters are preserved Atlantic Forest, according to the operator. The club was founded in 1937, and the course in play today opened in 1958, according to Top 100 Golf Courses. The layout is par 71 and just over 6,200 yards from the back tees; the front nine is more than 400 yards shorter than the back nine. Fairways are narrow, tree-lined and often steep, and the greens are small, so accuracy counts more than length. The signature 16th is a par 4 that doglegs right past a pond, with views of the city and the reservoir from the tee. The par-5 18th runs along the water to a green guarded by large bunkers. Practice areas include a driving range, a chipping green and a putting green. The clubhouse has a pro shop, a restaurant, locker rooms, a sauna and a pool. Golf carts, trolleys and caddies are available.
