The Guariroba Golf Club, close to Campinas
The Guariroba Golf Club is about 20 minutes from Campinas and just over 100 km from Sao Paulo center. When you go there for the first time, put Fazenda Guariroba in your GPS system and not the Golf Club. The entrance is very hidden, but since it is a private club, not everyone has to find it that easily. After the entrance in the middle of the forest, you go over an old historical bridge past the control door, the horsestables to the golf clubhouse.
Perfect all-inclusive service
The golf club is located on private property and in the early days it was only possible to play on the course with the permission of the owner family. Some friends paid a monthly fee, but in return they had an all-inclusive service. The golf cart was ready, the cooler was filled and there were drinks, cocktails, coffee, etc. to relax after the game.
Now there is an official club in which friends of friends can register and pay their monthly fee. They are also allowed to bring guests.
A small driving range and a practice area are used to warm up. The golf pro, who is also the golf course manager, supports you on the course and on the range to optimize your game.
The golf course
The Guariroba Golf Course is known for its breathtaking panoramic views and world-class golf experience. Nestled in the lush tropical landscape, this prestigious club offers a golfing paradise amidst the beauty of nature. At various holes you can still see that there used to be a large coffee plantation here.
This 18-hole golf course was designed and built by Alvaro Soares Novaes, a Brazilian golf pro. The design has become a master path. Each hole has its own character, especially the par 3s are very challenging. The place is always in excellent condition.
A special highlight is the halfway house after the 10th hole. Take your driver with you on the 10th green because the next tee is right after. But first you can enjoy your, just prepared, hot dog and fresh fruit juice from the farm on the shady terrace. A good home-style espresso is a must at the end.
On the 10th tee there is also a note that Gary Player has already played this outstanding golf course four times. No matter what skill level, every player enjoys the course and the nature around.
