The Terras de Sao Jose Golf Club in Itu (SP), has named the professional Philippe Gasnier as the new captain of the club. He is replacing Antonio Carlos “Kako” Cruz Lima. Actual Kako is living in Asia and he becomes the vice-captain. Even outside Brazil Kako had been working intensively in the captaincy of the club. Whenever he is visiting the club and has weekly contacts with the golf club team. Kako, who has spent nine years as a captain.

Gasnier: The first US Open participant from Brazil

The new captain Gasnier is a professional with vast international experience. Above all, he was even the first Brazilian to play in a US Open. It was the US-Open 2008 at Torrey Pines/San Diego. Thanks and praise to the previous captain

Egoroff highly praised Kako’s work in nearly a decade as captain, crediting him and his team for much of the club’s success. We are very grateful for all the work Kako has done over the nine years. His dedication and passion for the club helped us to receive important Brazilian championships in our club. Also, the regular award of the magazine Golf Digest as one of the top 10 golf courses in Brazil is largely his merit. We wish Philippe Gasnier, Kako, and the entire team, who cares for the Golf Club of Terras de Sao Jose much success and joy in their tasks.
